Privacy Policy
Driftto exists to get a thought out of your head and into the app you already use — Apple Reminders, Notion, or email.
We don’t store what you write.
The text of your capture, and any photo you attach, never touches our servers in a way we keep — they go straight through to the destination you chose. What we do keep is small: your email address, and a short record of when something was sent, where, and whether it worked. That record clears itself after 7 days.

What we never store
The words you type, dictate, or the photo you snap are not saved on our servers. This isn’t a policy we could quietly change — it’s built into how our database is structured: there is no field for it. Your capture passes through our servers for the moment it takes to deliver it, the same way a letter passes through a mail truck, and then it’s gone from our side.
- On your device, in your capture history, so you can look back at what you’ve sent.
- At the destination you chose — your Apple Reminders, your Notion workspace, or the inbox you sent it to. Those are yours; we don’t have a copy.
What we do store
Your email address. You use it to sign in, and if you connect email as a destination, we also store it there so we know where to send your captures. It’s the same address in both cases, kept for as long as your account exists. If we send you a confirmation code to verify an email destination, that code is deleted shortly after you use it, or automatically if it expires unused.
A record of each capture attempt — when it happened, which destinations you sent it to, and whether each one succeeded. This is what powers your history and lets us show you if something didn’t arrive. We keep this for 7 days, then it’s deleted automatically. It never includes the text itself.
Basic error details when something goes wrong. If a destination rejects a capture — say, a connection that’s stopped working — we may log the technical error message so we can show you why and help you fix it. These are short technical messages from the destination’s own systems, not your content.
An identifier for your account and your connections, so the app knows which Reminders list or Notion database to send to. The access credentials for the apps you’ve connected are stored encrypted, not as plain text.
Voice capture
When you dictate a capture, speech is converted to text entirely on your device. Nothing you say is sent to us or to anyone else for this — the conversion happens locally, the same way it would if you were typing.

Apple Reminders
We hand over the text. Kept by nobody but your device — this integration is entirely local.
Notion
We hand over text and photo. Kept by Notion, inside your own workspace.
We hand over the text, as a message. Kept by the inbox you sent it to, and our email delivery provider, Resend, which sends the message on our behalf.
Email is the one path where we bring in an outside company to help deliver your capture. We chose Resend and are responsible for that choice; they don’t keep your message beyond what’s needed to send it.
Deleting your account
When you delete your account, everything tied to it is removed in one action — your connections, your access credentials, your capture records, your session. Nothing is held back. On your device, signing out clears your local capture history too.
This website
We count visits to this website using PostHog, hosted on servers in Europe. It runs without cookies, and without recording anything you do on the page. It does see your IP address, mainly to work out roughly where visitors are. We don’t link it to an account, and it never touches anything you write in the app.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, we’ll update the date at the top. We won’t quietly start keeping something we said we don’t.
