Is Driftto a good Drafts alternative?

For quick capture that has to land in a task app, yes. For writing, no. Drafts is a text editor with actions on top; Driftto is only the capture field and the tap that sends it on, to the list or project you set once.

What is the difference between Drafts and Driftto?

The second step. In Drafts the text waits in its inbox until you run an action. In Driftto you tap a destination instead of send, and the note goes there. Driftto is not a place to write or keep long text.

Can Driftto send one note to several apps at once?

Yes. Pick more than one destination and the same capture goes to each, for example Reminders and Notion. In Drafts you can build an action with several steps to do the same, which takes Drafts Pro.

When is Drafts the better choice?

When you write more than a line, work on a Mac or iPad, capture from your watch, or use Things or OmniFocus, which Driftto does not write to. Also when you like scripting your own workflow. Driftto is iPhone only.

Can I capture by voice in Driftto, like dictating into Drafts?

Yes. Speak in the app, or say "Hey Siri, new capture in Driftto" to capture without touching your phone, to the destination you picked for Siri. Speech becomes text on your iPhone with Apple's speech recognition.
