Terms of Service

The short version

Driftto takes what you write and delivers it to Apple Reminders, Notion, or your email. You pay monthly, yearly, or once.

Apple handles the payment, and Apple is where you cancel.

If a capture doesn’t arrive, we tell you in the app. We don’t mark something as sent when it isn’t.

The rest of this page is the detail. It’s short on purpose.

Who you’re dealing with

Driftto is made by JaFa Media, based in the Netherlands. You can reach a person at support@driftto.io. By using the app you agree to what’s on this page.

What Driftto does, and where it stops

You write, dictate, or photograph something once, and Driftto sends it to the destinations you’ve connected. That’s the whole product.

The destinations are not ours. Apple Reminders, Notion, and your email provider belong to you and to them. If Notion is down, if you revoke Driftto’s access, or if a mailbox rejects a message, we can’t deliver, and in that case you’ll see it in the app rather than a false confirmation. What happens to your capture once it arrives is between you and that service.

Your account

You sign in with an email address, and that account is yours alone. Keep the address current. It’s how you get back in. You’re responsible for what you send through the app and for the destinations you authorise.

Driftto is not for children under 13, and if you’re under 16 you need a parent’s permission.

What you may not use it for

We’d rather write this in one line: use it the way it’s meant.

Subscriptions and payment

What it costs is whatever the App Store shows you at the moment you buy, in your own currency. Driftto offers a monthly plan, a yearly plan, and a one-time lifetime purchase.

Apple takes the payment, charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. We never see or hold your card details.

A subscription renews by itself unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before that moment.

You cancel in Apple’s settings: your Apple Account, then Subscriptions, not in Driftto. We can’t cancel it for you; Apple doesn’t give us that button. Cancelling stops the next payment and leaves you access until the period you’ve already paid for runs out.

The free trial: the yearly plan starts with 7 days free. Cancel before those 7 days are up and you pay nothing. If you buy a subscription while a trial is still running, the unused part of the trial is forfeited. That’s Apple’s rule for every app, not ours.

Lifetime is a single payment with nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. It’s tied to your Apple Account, so “Restore purchases” brings it back on a new device.

If we ever raise the price, Apple asks you first. Your subscription doesn’t renew at a higher price without that.

Refunds

Refunds go through Apple, because the purchase did too: reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue one ourselves. If something went wrong on our side, write to support@driftto.io anyway: we’ll tell you what we found, and we’ll back up your request.

What you write stays yours

We claim no rights over your captures. We don’t store the text or the photo at all: how that works is set out in the privacy policy, and it’s built into the database rather than promised on a page.

Keeping it running

We aim to keep Driftto available and we’ll take it down for maintenance as rarely as we can. We can’t promise it never breaks. What we do promise is that a failure is visible: a capture that didn’t arrive says so, and you can send it again.

Ending it

You can delete your account in the app whenever you like. That removes your destinations, your credentials, and your records in one action, and it’s not reversible. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription. Do that in Apple’s settings too.

We may close an account that’s used for the things listed above. If we do, we’ll tell you why.

If something goes wrong

We’re a small studio and the app costs a few euros. If we cause you damage, what we owe is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. That limit doesn’t apply to damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, and it doesn’t take away rights that consumer law gives you where you live.

Changes to these terms

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that affects what you pay or what you get, we’ll tell you in the app or by email first.

Which law applies

Dutch law, and the Dutch courts if it ever comes to that. If you’re a consumer somewhere else in the EU, the protections of your own country still apply. Nothing here removes them.
