The best Todoist integrations in 2026 Grouped by the job they do for your list.
Todoist lists hundreds of integrations. Most people need three or four: one that brings tasks in from where work arrives, one that shows tasks next to their day, and maybe one rule that runs without them. These ten hold up.
I build Driftto, and it is on this list. It sits in the middle, leading only the iPhone capture group, because getting a thought into Todoist from your phone is the one job it does. Todoist's own Quick Add and Siri support are good, and I say where they are enough.
The list has three parts: integrations for the places you already work, apps for capturing on your iPhone, and automation. Prices and details come from Todoist's integrations directory and help center, and each app's App Store or pricing page, in October 2026.
The short list
Five of these sit where you already work: Todoist's calendar integration, its browser extension, and its add-ons for Gmail, Outlook and Slack, all included on every plan. Two capture from your iPhone: Driftto and Drafts. Three run automations around Todoist: Make, Zapier and IFTTT.

1 Todoist Calendar integration
Doist · Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar
The integration to set up first. Your meetings show in Today, and timed tasks show up in your calendar.
- Price
- Included on Beginner, Pro and Business. The visual calendar layout for time blocking needs Pro, $7 a month or $60 a year.
- Works with
- Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, one account at a time. iCloud calendars only through a subscription in that account.
- What it does in Todoist
- Events appear in Today and Upcoming. Tasks with a time and duration go to a Todoist calendar, and edits sync both ways.
- Setup
- Connect your Google or Outlook account from Todoist, then hide any calendars you don't want to see.
- The catch
- Events are read-only inside Todoist, and a new event in the Todoist calendar does not create a task.
This is the one that changes how a day in Todoist feels. Instead of a task list on one screen and meetings on another, Today shows both, so you see the real gap between your calls before you promise yourself four tasks.
Recurring tasks mostly come along, with exceptions. A pattern the calendar can't express arrives as a single event, and the next one appears when it comes up.
2 Todoist browser extension
Doist · Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari
The quickest way to turn a web page or a highlighted sentence into a task, without leaving the tab.
- Price
- Included on Beginner, Pro and Business.
- Works with
- Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer.
- What it does in Todoist
- Adds the page title and link as a task, or the text you selected. You pick a project, label and date first.
- Setup
- Install it from your browser's extension store and sign in.
- The catch
- Right-click "Add to Todoist" is not available in Safari, and Ramble voice capture does not work in the extensions.
Half of what ends up in my lists starts as a tab I mean to read or an order I mean to check. The extension keeps those out of the tab bar. Highlight a line, right-click, and that line is the task name. The icon in the toolbar also opens a small view of your list, so a quick check doesn't need a new tab.
3 Todoist for Gmail
Doist · Gmail on the web, iPhone and Android
Turns the email you are reading into a task, with a link that takes you back to it.
- Price
- Included on Beginner, Pro and Business.
- Works with
- Gmail on the web, and the Gmail app on iPhone and Android. Not on iPad.
- What it does in Todoist
- Creates a task from the open email. You can set project, name, date, duration, label and priority before saving.
- Setup
- Install the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace and authorize it.
- The catch
- The link opens the email only in Gmail in a browser, not in the Gmail app on your phone.
Most of the work that lands on me arrives as email, and the inbox is a poor task list. The add-on sits in Gmail's side panel on a computer, and behind a Todoist icon at the bottom of a message in the Gmail app.
For a shared project, Todoist suggests forwarding the email to the project's own address instead. The body then becomes a comment everyone on the project can read.
4 Todoist for Outlook
Doist · Outlook on web, Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android
The Outlook version of the same idea, with a one-tap button that drops an email straight into your Inbox.
- Price
- Included on Beginner, Pro and Business. An email summary in the description and sub-tasks from action items need Pro.
- Works with
- Outlook on the web, new Outlook on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, and classic Outlook on Windows and Mac.
- What it does in Todoist
- "Add to Todoist Inbox" saves the email in one step. "Add to Todoist" opens a form for project, date, labels and priority.
- Setup
- Add it from Outlook's add-ins. A work account may need an administrator to allow it.
- The catch
- Only Microsoft cloud mail. IMAP and POP accounts are not supported, and new Outlook asks you to sign in again every three months.
If your company runs on Microsoft 365, this is the email integration to use. The one-step Inbox button is the part I would reach for most: it clears an email out of the way now and leaves the sorting for your next pass through Todoist.
For other mail accounts, every Todoist project has an email address. A forwarded message becomes a task named after its subject.
5 Todoist for Slack
Doist · Slack
For the requests that arrive in a thread and vanish under the next forty messages.
- Price
- Included on Beginner, Pro and Business.
- Works with
- One Slack workspace per Todoist account.
- What it does in Todoist
- Type /todoist with a task name, date, label and project, or use a message's menu to add it as a task.
- Setup
- Install the Todoist app in Slack, then each person connects their own Todoist account.
- The catch
- Only one workspace can be connected, and teammates can't see your tasks unless the project is shared with them.
Slack is where people ask for things in passing. The message menu has "Add a task", which lets you edit the name and project, and "Add to Inbox as a task", which skips the form. The /todoist command takes a project, labels and a due date in the same line, so a request becomes a task without leaving the channel.
Capture from your iPhone For the thought that arrives away from a desk.
6 Driftto
Made by me · iPhone
Opens with the keyboard up. Type or speak, tap Todoist, and it lands in the project you chose once.
- Price
- Free to download. $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year with a free week for new subscribers, or $29.99 once.
- Works with
- Todoist, plus Apple Reminders, TickTick, Notion, Asana, Jira, Linear and email. One capture can go to several at once.
- What it does in Todoist
- The whole note becomes the task title, in the project you set as the default. Nothing goes into the description.
- Setup
- Connect Todoist once in the app and pick the project it should land in.
- The catch
- The whole note is the title, so nothing reaches the description. When a task needs details, Todoist's own Quick Add is the better tool.
Driftto is for the thought you have while walking, cooking or between two meetings. It opens straight to a capture field, with no project list to scroll. Widgets on the Home Screen and Lock Screen, a Control Center control, and "Hey Siri, new capture in Driftto" start it without opening anything.
I built it because capture kept failing for the wrong reason: not the typing, but the seconds before it. How Driftto writes to Todoist.
7 Drafts
Agile Tortoise · iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch
A blank page first and Todoist second. Strong when a note needs editing before it becomes a task.
- Price
- Free to use. Drafts Pro is $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year.
- Works with
- Todoist, through a built-in action step that uses Todoist's Quick Add syntax, so dates and #projects in the text work.
- What it does in Todoist
- "Task in Todoist" makes the first line the task and the rest a comment. "Tasks in Todoist" makes one task per line.
- Setup
- Install a Todoist action from the Drafts directory and authorize Drafts on Todoist's website once.
- The catch
- Sending is a separate step. You write, then run the action, and the direct action needs a network connection.
Drafts suits the person who thinks in paragraphs and only later knows what the task is. Because its Todoist step speaks Quick Add, a line like "Call the bank tomorrow #Admin" arrives with a date and a project. Todoist's help center lists it among its integrations.
Automation Rules that run without you.
8 Make
Celonis · Web, with an iPhone app
The automation tool for when one rule isn't enough and you want to see the whole flow.
- Price
- Free plan with 1,000 credits a month. Paid plans add credits and cost less billed yearly.
- Works with
- Hundreds of apps, including Gmail, Slack, Dropbox, GitHub, Telegram and Zendesk.
- What it does in Todoist
- Watches Todoist events and can create, complete or comment on tasks, and make projects, sections, labels and filters.
- Setup
- Create a scenario on make.com, add the Todoist module and authorize your account.
- The catch
- Each step uses credits, and building a scenario takes longer to learn than an IFTTT applet.
Make draws an automation as a chain of steps on a canvas, so you can watch a Todoist event, look something up, and write back to Todoist in one scenario. That depth is the reason to use it. Problems with the integration go to Make's support, not to Todoist.
9 Zapier
Zapier · Web
The widest reach of the three. If an app you use offers automation at all, it is probably on Zapier.
- Price
- Free for 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps. Professional is $19.99 a month billed yearly, or $29.99 monthly, for 750 tasks.
- Works with
- Thousands of apps, from Gmail and Google Calendar to Evernote and Podio.
- What it does in Todoist
- Triggers on completed or new tasks and new projects. Actions create, update, complete or move tasks, and add comments.
- Setup
- Connect Todoist on Zapier, pick a trigger and an action, and authorize your account.
- The catch
- A recurring task only triggers a Zap the first time it appears. Every action counts against your monthly tasks.
Zapier is the safe pick when the other app is obscure, because its catalog is the largest. Its Todoist actions go further than IFTTT's: a Zap can update a task, move it to a section or mark it done. Multi-step Zaps need a paid plan, and support for the integration comes from Zapier, not Todoist.
10 IFTTT
IFTTT · iPhone, Android, web
The easy way to connect Todoist to one other service, as long as the rule is simple.
- Price
- Free for two applets. Pro is $2.99 a month, billed yearly at $35.88, for twenty.
- Works with
- Hundreds of services, from Google Sheets to GitHub and smart home devices.
- What it does in Todoist
- Triggers on new or completed tasks, by label or section. The only action is creating a task.
- Setup
- Pick or build an applet, connect Todoist, and choose the project and section.
- The catch
- On the free plan triggers are checked hourly, every five minutes on Pro. Todoist warns syncing may take a while.
IFTTT works best for a single if-this-then-that: log completed tasks to a spreadsheet, or create a task when an issue is assigned to you on GitHub. It can't edit or complete tasks, so anything that changes an existing task belongs in Make or Zapier.
How I picked
Each integration had to do one job well for someone whose tasks live in Todoist, and be documented in Todoist's help center. For the desk group that meant fewer copy-paste steps from email, chat and the browser. For the iPhone group the criterion was the fewest steps from a thought to a chosen Todoist project, from outside Todoist. Automation tools were judged on what they can do with a task, not on how many apps they list.
Todoist's own capture comes before all of this. Quick Add reads dates in plain words, Siri adds tasks when you say "in Todoist", and Ramble turns speech into tasks. If those already work for you, the iPhone group is optional. Nobody paid to be here and there are no affiliate links.
Questions
Does Todoist integrate with Google Calendar?
Yes, on every plan. Events show in Today and Upcoming, and tasks with a time sync to a Todoist calendar in both directions. You can connect Google or Outlook, one account at a time.
Can I forward emails to Todoist?
Yes. Every project and your Inbox have their own email address. A forwarded email becomes a task named after its subject, with the body added as a comment.
Are Todoist integrations free?
The ones from Doist here work on the free Beginner plan. Some extras, like the calendar layout and email summaries in Outlook, need Pro at $7 a month or $60 a year.
